I’ve had a huge crush on Harrison Ford since American Graffiti and the first Star Wars.

Indiana Jones brought the smirking sideman to center stage, provided a female lead and suddenly I wanted to be Karen Allen. An alien lover swoops to earth for her in Starman, the same Jeff Bridges slouches through Big Lebowski, and my cosmology is set.

Sprinkle with a bit of mythos mashup when Lorne Greene‘s fighter jets launched from Battlestar Galatica cruising towards Earth in King Tut helmets.

All this to say, in two short hours, I’ll get to see Cowboys and Aliens!
